The Rick Burns Gallery at Gallery Connexion

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Artists and curators are invited to submit proposals for upcoming exhibitions in the Rick Burns Gallery, Gallery Connexion’s main exhibition space. Proposals will be for March 2013 to February 2014 programming.

Deadline for proposals: March 31, 2012.
Email submissions must be received by 9pm.
Post submissions (on CD/DVD only) must be postmarked by the deadline date.

Exhibition proposals should include the following:

• 10 - 20 images of proposed or recent work — JPEG, 300 dpi

• Numbered image list, including title, medium, dimensions, year — PDF

• Curriculum vitae (3 pages maximum) — PDF

• Artist statement (250 words maximum) — PDF

• An exhibition proposal including space and equipment requirements and description of proposed work (250 words maximum) — PDF

• Publications, reviews, or other support material (optional) — hard copy or PDF

• A self-addressed, stamped envelope if sending by mail and return of materials is required

Gallery Connexion welcomes submissions from artists of any discipline regardless of educational background, gender, race, or sexual orientation. The gallery also welcomes proposals from independent curators. Gallery Connexion does not show undergraduate student work.

Gallery Connexion is committed to paying artist’s fees as outlined in the CARFAC fee schedule.
The current rates are as follows:

• $1600 for a solo show

• $250 for an Artist Talk/Workshop Fee under 4 hours

• Up to $200 for return shipping

Gallery Connexion annually programs 4-5 exhibitions. Proposals may be sent anytime. The committee meets once a year to review submissions.
